Hey there!

Here are a couple tips for video editing.

1.Know your software. If you have trouble using it, watch tutorials. If you still arent sure how to use it, try a different software. A link with free software reviews is included in this kit.

2.Plan your film. What do you want to happen? What order do you want the events to happen? Plan this out and then shoot.

3.Resources:

Music that is free to use is a rare find. What you need to look for is music with a "CC attribution" or "CC attribution 3.0" usage lisence. This means you'll have to give credit to the person who made the music, which can just be a blurb in the youtube description. Yes your advertising there music, but your not spending $20 a song.

Free to use film is much more common. Often you wont even have to give credit! Included is a video clip called "TV Error", which is a free to use CC attribution clip. go to youtube.com/watch?v=VSNfZnotM/ to find the attributon.

Hope this helps film Newbies!
